Kerala Muslim Welfare Association Members celebrated ONAM 2022 in its Kerala Islamic Cultural Centre, Institutional Area, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Delhi on 24th September 2022 with much fanfare and enthusiasm.
Mr. PK Basheer, Honourable MLA of Kerala was the Chief Guest of the Program presided over by Adv. Haris Beeran, President of KMWA, Delhi.
He, while addressing the august audience, specifically highlighted the need of reforms in the thought process of every human being for ensuring the unity in diversity and thereby supporting the Country in the development and Nation building. He has also cautioned against sprouting of any kind of blitzkrieg within the organization, which can take away the sheen of KMWA, Delhi remaining the common platform not only for Kerala Muslims living in Delhi, but also the entire Malayalees in this National Capital Territory of Delhi. Mr. PK Basheer has been honoured by presenting him a Memento of KMWA, Delhi by KV Hamza.
A variety of entertainment activities were carried out by the Members of the Association, including the younger lot of student community to not only cheer in, but also actively participating, making the event a memorable one followed with a sumptuous ONAM feast served on the banana leaves to over 350 participants in the traditional manner echoing the oneness and brotherhood Kerala, the God's own Country, has always showcased.
Mr. Ajmal Mufeed, Secretary of the Association welcomed the audience and Mr. Mohammed Ali, Treasurer said vote of thanks.
