The Members of Kerala Muslim Welfare Association, Delhi expressed their condolences and respect to Shri Omcherry NN Pillai, the elderly figure of all Delhi Malayalees on his demise on 22nd November 2024. As a mark of respect and reverence to the departed soul, Mr. Ajmal Mufeed, Secretary, KMWA along with Mr. TM Esmail and KV Hamza visited the residence of Shri Omcherry Sir on 23rd November 2024 and paid the floral tribute of wreath for the departed doyen of Malayalam Drama and literature on behalf of all the members of the Association. Shri Omcherry always made it to mandatorily attend all the functions and programmes of KMWA till he was a able to move around despite his old age. He had always kept a warm relationship with the organization since its inception way back in 1988 and was also one among the important Guests during the inauguration of KMWA's Centre at Institutional Area of Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Pocket 3 on 29th August 2019. It is also worth recollecting that Adv. Haris Beeran, the President of KMWA, Delhi on his elevation and achievement of becoming a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha has ensured to visit the veteran and centenarian elder brother of all Malayaleees in Delhi, Prof. Omcherry NN Pillai at his residence in B-3/87, Ashok Vihar Phase 2, Delhi and get his wishes and blessings on 10th July 2024 before accepting the honour and felicitation arranged by the organization at its Centre at Mayur Vihar on the same day.
