Annual Social Get-together for Communal Harmony & Iftar Program 2018 of Kerala Muslim Welfare Association, Delhi on 27th May 2018



The Kerala Muslim Welfare Association, Delhi held its Annual Social Get-together for Communal Harmony and Iftar 2018 Program on Sunday, 27th May 2018 in DMA Cultural Centre, RK Puram, New Delhi.  This is the 30th Annual function on completion of 30 years of Association's existence in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. 

Eminent people from different walks of life participated in the program.  Mr. Mohammed Faisal, MP, Loksabha from Lakshwadeep, Dr. Zafar Mahmood, President Zakat foundation & former Secretary of Rajendra Sachaar committee, Mr. MKG Pillai, President NSS, Mr. Arif Ali, Ameer Jamat Islami, Mr. Subu Rahman, Commissioner,DDA, spoke on the occasion felicitating the multifarious humane activities of the Association.  

Mr. Fameer, Coordinator Health Charity Wing of the Association presented a brief overview of the activities and achievements in the Public Health scenario by this wing throughout the year.  He has also emphasized the Basic Life Support Training being imparted to the students, common people and professionals in different institutions by KMWA-HCW.  Imparting English, Science and Mathematics to the students of different Madrassas in Mehrauli under the Quality Improvement Program of Madrassa Education undertaken by KMWA and practiced through Health Charity Wing has made tremendous progress in not only education, but the overall health and hygiene of the students studying in Madrassas is a milestone achievement listed by Mr. Fameer.


Mr. KV Hamza, Gen. Secretary, DNipCare presented a bird's eye view on the Palliative Care activities started by the Kerala Muslim Welfare Association 10 years ago replicating the World's renowned community based Palliative mission of Kerala in Delhi for the benefits of suffering patients irrespective of cast creed or language. He informed the audience about the recent Goodwill Ambassador 2018 Award received by DNipCare from Mahavir Chaudhary Foundation, Patna, Bihar, presented by Shri Satya Pal Malik, Honourable Governor Bihar in the presence of Shri Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister on 04th May 2018 in Patna, Bihar.

Mr. Mansoor Kattanam, Secretary KMWA welcomed the audience to the function presided over by KK Basheer, President and Mr. Shamsudheen, Joint Secretary said the vote of thanks.  Mr. Muhammed Jessal did the compering of the program.
