Republic Day Celebration by KMWA Delhi on 26th January 2022

 

 Amidst growing number of Omicron variant cases of Covid-19 in this National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Kerala Muslim Welfare Associated had to go for on online celebration of India’s 73rd Republic Day on 26th January 2022.  It was a well organized event with participation of people from all walks of life.

Adv. Haris Beeran, President, KMWA presided over the programme.

The Chief Guest of the occasion was Justice B Kemal Pasha, Retired Judge, High Court of Kerala and the Guest of Honour Mr. M.V. Nikesh Kumar, Journalist and MD, Reporter TV.  Both these eminent personalities spoke at length with the perspective of their vast experiences in their own career fields and on the requirement of the population to be proactive in safeguarding the democratic and secular principle of our Great India.  They have also replied to the volley of questions posed by the audience on the relevant topics they dealt with during their speech.

Adv. Marzook Bafakyh welcomed Justice B Kemal Pasha and moderated the first session while Mr. Fameer  CK welcomed Mr. M.V. Nikesh Kumar and moderated the second session. 

The programme ensured the active participation of the younger lots of the Association by including different activities of competitions like Quiz, extempore speech etc.  moderated by Mr. Asharudheen P and coordinated by Mr. Abdul Gafoor.

Mr. Ajmal Mufeed, Secretary Congratulated everybody for their active participation for making the event a memorable one.  He has also appreciated the genuine art works carried out and displayed at the Kerala Islamic Cultural Centre by Ms. Mamtha Khatun, Artist from Kolkata , during the occasion.   He also said Vote of thanks.
